Dr. Thigpin can provide your small animal pet with general medical care as well as many specialty services. 

Specialty Services include:

• Ultrasound -- this includes Screening for many congenital and aquired diseases such as polycystic kidneys and cardiomyopathy.  Cancer screening to look for cancer nodules in the liver, spleen and other organs.  Diagnostic ultrasound to determine why there is a problem.  To determine if an ultrasound examination would help your pet please e-mail  or call and we can discuss the problem.
• Avian and Exotic care--Dr. Thigpin will examine and care for a wide variety of pets including all types of bird, hamsters, guinipigs, rabbits, rats, sugar gliders, mice and other small pocket pets. (Unfortunately she does not work on reptiles.)
• Penn Hip evaluation--This is the evaluation of a dogs hips for any signs of hip dysplasia.  For years the breeding standard of this evaluation has been OFA now with the development of the Penn Hip method you can get a more objective determination of the potential for your dog to pass this on to it's puppies.  Dr. Thigpin is the only veterinarian in this area certified to perform this test. 
• Cancer medicine--Dr. Thigpin will assist you in evaluating your pet with cancer and determining if chemotherapy is the best option for you.  Dr. Thigpin has had specialty training in veterinary oncology and treats a wide variety of pets with cancer.  If your pet has cancer, feel free to contact us and we can discuss the possibilities.
